David and Suzanne Mangini, both registered republicans, sat down to watch the debate between Sandy Treadwell and Kirsten Gilibrand. This was the second debate between the two candidates running for the 20th Congressional Seat.

During the first time Treadwell spoke S. Mangini thought he was struggling slightly. "He's stumbling a little bit, he usually speaks pretty well."

D. Mangini sat quietly in his chair.

"I hate watching debates because I find myself only being nervous about my candidate looking good," S. Mangini said after a few minutes.

The two viewers fell silent for the next few questions, before S. Mangini piped up again. "I don't know why these are important questions. I was really hoping for more pertinent ones. These answers don't matter because the questions are very good," she said of the reporters' questions.

Everytime Gilibrand opened her mouth she was the subject she chose to talk about. This bothered the two viewers as they threw up their hands simultaneously in disgust and annoyance when she yet again began to answer a question by talking about herself.

"They ask her a question, and then she talks about herself!" S. Mangini said.

"She's not answering any of the questions," D. Mangini said.

While answering a question from the female reporter, Treadwell was interrupted by that reporter.
"Why is she interrupting him?" D. Mangini said. "She's not the one debating him, she shouldn't be doing that, they aren't letting him answer."

D. Mangini was clearly fed-up with how the debate was being run.

When Treadwell was answering a question about abortion a shocked look appeared on S. Mangini's face. He had just said he was pro-choice and felt it was a mother's choice. "I'm a little upset. I didn't know he felt that way. It won't stop me from voting for him though," she said after hearing that news.

Gilibrand was asked the same question.

She stated that she was pro-choice then went on discussing how health care needed to be reformed. This was clearly off-topic. As Treadwell stayed on the topic of abortion, and they made him answer each supporting question on the issue, they let Gilibrand just say that she was pro-choice, then talk about health care.
